Long-Term Development Guidelines

Long-Term Development
Guidelines

The Long-Term Development Guidelines were created to address the issue of declining participation in judo
and to redefine the role and value of judo in modern society.
By embracing diversity and inclusion—regardless of gender, age, or disability—
judo provides opportunities for everyone to experience personal growth and support one another.
Through these efforts, we aim to spread the spirit of Mutual Welfare and Benefit (Jita Kyoei)
and contribute to the development of a more inclusive and harmonious society.

Coach Development Guidelines

The Coach Development Guidelines were established to clarify the role and ideal qualities of judo instructors
and to help communicate the essential values of judo to society.
These guidelines emphasize that judo instructors should possess not only technical coaching skills,
but also the ability to convey the principles of character development and social contribution through judo.
They also encourage instructors to pursue continuous self-improvement
nd to support lifelong physical and mental well-being through judo. Ultimately,
these efforts contribute to building a more harmonious society.
